Aperion Audio Verus Grand Center

This is an Aperion Audio Versus Grand Center channel speaker in gloss cherry.  I'm the second owner and used it for several months while searching for a single Seaton Catalyst 8C speaker to pop up on the used market.  The lacquer on the bottom side of the speaker has some very minor scuffs/swirl marks, but they are not visible unless you are shining a light directly on the speaker and specifically looking for them.  I was unable to even capture them in a photo.  Other than that, the speaker is in excellent condition and sounds great.  I powered it with an ADA amp and used it alongside my Seaton Catalyst 12C speakers.  I wasn't sure what to expect since the Catalysts cost many times more than this center speaker, but I was very pleasantly surprised.  Even when watching movies and concert Blu-rays/DVD's at sustained levels of 100dB+, the Versus Grand Center never sounded strained or distorted.  It's tone wasn't a perfect match with the Catalysts, but it kept up with them without any issues.  Before buying this speaker, I read a review of it stating that it was the finest center speaker the reviewer had ever heard.  I wouldn't go that far, as there are better centers out there, but you will have to a pay a whole lot more money for the privilege of owning one of them.  I have owned a lot of home theater gear over the years and I've never heard a sub-$400 center that sounds better than this one, by a long shot.
