Teac X-1000r Open Reel Tape Deck

For sale is a vintage Teac X-1000R with black face plate.
This unit plays and records at 3 3/4 and 7 1/2 ips.

Reel capacity is up to 10 1/2 in NAB. 

Cosmetic condition:
8/10 (there are a couple of small dings on the tape head cover)
Play condition: 8/10
Head condition: 7/10 (there is some wear on the heads but not very significant)
Unit plays forward and reverse well. The VU meters both work and the lamps
also light up. Headphone jack also works. The microphone jack has not been tested.

Note that since this unit is approx. 35 years old it will benefit from a tune up by an expert reel to reel tech to bring it back up to factory specs.
User manual is not included but can be obtained from HiFi Engine.

At the Buy It Now price of $1250.00, and ONLY at that price, I will include a pair of Teac NAB hubs, one 10.5" metal reel, and a copy of the user's manual.

Packaging is with styrofoam inserts and heavy duty corrugated cardboard.
