Tyler Acoustics - Taylo Ref Sys w/separate base modules

Tyler Acoustics speakers – for sale is a custom version of the Taylo Reference System (two piece) monitors with the Seas Magnesium midrange and Seas Millennium tweeter and separate base modules (same Seas bass) with optional built-in amps. This is a pair of Tyler Acoustics high performance high sensitivity speakers in maple finish. They are in very good condition and sound excellent. The base modules include a set of power cables. My brother-in-law had Ty Lashbrook (Founder of Tyler Acoustics) build these since they are friends.

The base cabinets are are driven by Keiga-5230 sub woofer amps / 300W. They feature discrete high current output. Low-pass frequency adjustable. Woofer level control. Phase invert switch control. Low pass on/off control. Master power switch w/auto on. Provide high level and low level in/out. Binding post high level input terminal. Output protection circuit with relay. AC 115V/230V switchable.

Within the last 2 months the binding posts and plates to the monitors were replaced with WBT - 0763 binding posts and WBT - 0805 solder (lead free solder is the highest quality solder with 4% fine silver content). These were a nice upgrade and also make connecting speaker cables much easier. If you aren’t already aware, WBT makes nice stuff.

Unlike many speakers, these are easy to place and easy to drive. I think I may have the original cream-colored grills that are in good condition. Personally, I think they look so much better with the grills removed.

The monitors and base modules are two separate pieces that are stacked. Combined, each pair measure approx. 42” H x 12” W x 14” D. The monitors each weigh approx. 45 lbs. The base modules each weigh approx. 90 lbs. Included in the sale are inexpensive pedestal pads that screw into the bottom of the base modules to allow for easy movement and air movement under the base modules.

Due to the size and weight they must be local pick-up only since I do not have the original packing material. I’m located in College Park, MD just outside of Washington, DC within 2.5 miles of Interstate 95.

1. Pair of 12’ long spade speaker wires to accommodate the spade bi-wired monitors. I have been using these wires since I purchased the speakers. ($250 or BO)

2. Pair of 8-10’ long interconnects that I have been using with the base modules. ($50)

3. 2 – 8’ long Audience Forte 3 Power Cords. ($300 or BO)

4. Set (8) of Linn Skeet floor protectors for spiked speaker stands (black finish). “These are perfect for use on wooden or tiled floors, protecting them from spiked feet whilst providing a solid foundation for your loudspeakers to ensure that all you hear is the music." ($75)
