For several months now we have been listening to and LOVING the Exogal Comet Plus (includes upgraded power supply for the Comet) Dac/Pre and the Ion Power DAC Amplifier. Frankly, not sure anything else extant can compare.
The ION Power DAC Amplifier is The Real Deal. The delivery is amazing – the Attack and Delay are not like anything I have heard even at 5 to 10 times the price.
The simple lines and beauty of this pair impart a design that must be seen. I know a lot about the construction of these products and they are 90 + % Robotically Built. The caseworks are also a Master Thesis on Design and Construction.
In short – this is a produce of the ages. Sonically there is an ease to the presentation THAT BLOWS US ALL AWAY. Not bright = not a smeared mass of sludge. Just the complete layered presentation of the musical event. Please read the Doug Schroeder
