The Verastarr Silver Reference Power Cord is a substantial upgrade from most all-copper, audiophile-grade cords because of our use of silver over a pure copper base metal. As you may know, silver is a better conductor than copper, therefore it's faster. When one of your components demands more power (particularly amplifiers) silver is able to deliver that power in a quicker fashion resulting in quicker transient response. The fact that we use Teflon as a dielectric rather than PVC means less absorption into the wire insulation. This means more efficient transmission of power to your components. The 3 conductors are shielded using a silver-plated copper braid shield and then covered again by a second layer of Teflon over the shield. On top of that, a cosmetic jacket and connectors are fitted. We use custom made cryo treated audiophile-grade IEC and plug which is a direct gold plating over ultra pure, single crystal copper. The result is an incredible sounding power cord and a lifetime of enjoyment!
