Esoteric Audio Research K-03 with factory USB upgrade

Here is a mint condition Esoteric K-03 CD-SACD player/DAC. This unit has the factory-installed and warranted USB upgrade (cost: $1,000) that makes this first-gen K-03 much like the second-gen K-03X version. I am the second owner and bought from the original owner recently. I have the original manual and remote, live in a smoke- and pet-free house, etc. The unit will be triple-boxed in the original box plus the two surrounding boxes provided by Esoteric when they returned it from the upgrade (the packaging is pretty crazy, actually). There is a tiny blemish on the Mode button that is visible in the pictures. In all other respects, the unit is cosmetically and operationally without flaw. Please note that the box is large and *heavy* -- shipping will be pricier than for most similarly-sized gear. I'm selling it only because I am going streaming 100% and therefore no need for this wonderful equipment. The player plays CD and SACD beautifully without any issue, if you never heard SACD in its full potential, you owe to yourself to listen to it. Plus it has the USB input so you can use it as a DAC too!
