The Ergo 670 DC may be the "smallest" in a three floorstander model lineup but you wouldn't know it if you plan to use it in a small or medium sized room. Other than the it being physically smaller (just slightly), it operates as a 2.5-way speaker instead of a 3-way seen in the other two larger models. It has two 7" aluminum allow woofers and a 1" metal tweeter arranged in the D'Appolito principle where the tweeter sits in between two woofers. Frequency response is an impressive 25 Hz to 40 KHz with a nominal impedance of 4 to 8 ohm. Sensitivity is 87.5 dB. Driving these speakers weren't difficult. If you have an amp that delivers a healthy and good quality 100W in 4 ohm, these will rock, image, deliver a substantial soundstage with ease. Its deep bass is tight and punchy and not at all boomy (which tend to be the case in the larger models where they use larger 8" and 8.5" woofers). Mids were clear and smooth with a slightly warm overtone. Highs were detailed and crystal clear and not overly harsh. As a mid-fi speaker, the Ergo 670 DC pretty much had all the right boxes ticked. It was well built with very good materials used and sounded really good for a mid-fi speaker. At $2,600 MSRP, it was cheaper than similarly spec B&W and Focal speakers but it did not play second fiddle to these other big brand names.

These speakers were former demo units so some minor scuff marks are present but nothing major. We have the original boxes and will securely pack this for safe shipping.
