Border Patrol S10 EXD Tube Amplifier

Astounding Border Patrol S10 with top of the line EXD Power Supplies.

This amp was purchased from Border Patrol in September 2016. It has a beautiful cherry base and is thee EXD model (upgraded parts, see below)  and comes with upgraded Emission Labs 300B tubes. The driver tubes are factory included Soviets. 

This is a beautiful looking and sounding piece and is absolutely state-of-the-art in tube amplification.

Central to the BorderPatrol designs and philosophy are the large and heavy external power supply units (PSU's). .... single-ended S10 are dual mono designs that feature two PSU's, one for each channel. Mounting the PSU's externally not only keeps the weight and size of the amplifiers manageable, it keeps the hard working iron and its electric fields away from the sensitive audio circuitry. The audio chassis are composed of non-magnetic materials and the higher priced EXD versions use copper chassis parts and inter-stage and output transformers that have undergone deep cryogenic treatment.

The amp and power supplies are in excellent condition with no marks that I can see. I estimate the tubes have less than 200 hours. Everything will be shipped in the original packaging. I am also double boxing the amp for added protection. The EML 300B's will ship in a separate carton. The owner's manual is included. There are no power cords as I used my own.

Everything will ship insured to lower 48 only. The flat fee rate of $200 is about half the actual cost. I will cover the balance. The "Buy it Now" price covers the PayPal fees.
