I just realized it lists as new which is a mistake. This should be rated 8.
For sale my SOtM sDP-1000EX DAC, in very good condition. I am the first owner and the unit was purchased new (this is not a review unit).
Very solid DAC offering both DXD and up to DSD 128 decoding in addition to the more usual PCM 24/192. It also offers true pre-amplifier functionality with analog volume control on both balanced and single ended inputs. Variable outputs are also SE and balanced.
The DAC runs from an internal bank of batteries that automatically alternate between charging and playing to provide ultimate quiet operation. The battery pack was just replaced (1 month ago) which is a $100 expense (and very easy do-it-yourself operation) and should provide trouble free operation for years to come (expect the battery packs to need replacement every 3 years or more depending on usage).
The DAC comes with the original box and remote (does not come with manual, available to download online).

| what does the battery pack do? It powers the DAC. One battery powers the DAC while the other charges, they swap automatically. It allows to run off the grid and noise free without having to actually manage the process. |
| I have a ARC ref5SE, would this work with that? I do not know this specific pre-amp but I see no reason why there would be an issue. Just keep the volume attenuation to 0 on the SOtM to bypass the volume control. |
