These were the speakers that introduced me to Sonus Faber: I was immediately involved in the music--not just listening but getting involved in it! The bass is surprising given how small the drivers are, and midrange is a SF strength. These are small for floorstanders, and since the port is in the front, they can be readily situated in even a smaller room. Regardless of their reasonable price, this speaker swept me away, leading me to replace technically better but more hifi sounding speakers. I have since moved up the SF line and must let these go to a good home.
Not important to all, but these speakers are lookers too: the leather covering the middle section of the speaker sets off the black lacquered wood sides secured by brass plugs--typical Sonus Faber attention to design and materials, but what appeals most is that natural sound! (BTW, I do have the front covers which I can send pictures of to those interested--I've never used them.) They sound terrific and exhibit no functional issues, but there are two cosmetic flaws in the leather which I have shown in photos. I have the original boxes and the padding I brought them home in but it is not the original factory padding and would need supplementing for shipping. Since they are not as large or heavy as most floorstanders, I don't think packing them safely will be difficult, especially if shipped on a pallet via freight (which also reduces shipping cost), but to reduce the risk of shipping damages, I must insist on shipping only to the western US or local pickup. Available to Audiogon members with good recent feedback. Price does not include shipping charges, but I pay Paypal. Cash only--no trades please.

Note: These are not the older "Concerto Grand Piano Home" speakers. Also, while an older review quoted the price at $7500, newer reviews quoted $3250 which I have listed here. According to what I have read, these were designed and voiced by SF's founder, Franco Serblin.
