McIntosh MC-352 350W x 2 Quad-Balanced Push-Pull Power Amplifier EX+++

Selling my beautiful McIntosh MC-352 350Wx2 power amplifier, the best amp I have ever owned. Sadly, there isn't a place for it in our new house, otherwise, there's no way I'd ever let it go. I've never heard anything quite like it musically - it has the classic McIntosh sound people talk about. Plus, the blue dancing VU needles are fabulous. Hoping to find a good new home for it.

It is in 9/10 condition cosmetically and a 10/10 sonically! You may know, the MC352 is a quad-balanced (double-balanced) design with Mcintosh Autoformers. The THD is LESS than 0.005% at ANY power level from 250mW through 350W from 20-20khz! And the SNR is 124dBA (rated output, balanced input). And the frequency response is a ruler flat +0/-0.25dB from 20-20k (and the -3dB freq is 100kHz). Because of the impedance matching of the autoformer, the MC352 can produce the full 350WPC at 2, 4, or 8 ohms loads. Needless to say, it drove my B&W 802D towers easily!

I purchased it from a fellow Audiogon enthusiast several years ago. He had taken exceptionally good care of it, as did I.

Note: I could never get the remote turn-on feature to work (using the jack in the back), but the amp powers on/off just fine with power knob. Please keep this in mind if you need this feature.

This amp is truly a statement piece. It weighs 105 lbs and is built like a tank. It will come in the original shipping carton (the amp is designed to be bolted to a wood base for transport), which is the only safe way to ship it, in my opinion.
