Polk Audio RT1000i

Polk Audio RT 1000i powered 3-way floor standing tower speakers.  Completely upgraded system with new upgraded silk dome tweeters, upgraded crossover capacitors with Clarity Cap capacitors and new filter and power supply capacitors in the amplifiers.  These are so greatly improved over the original speakers that it's insulting to list them as RT1000i speakers.  The improvement in sound from these upgrades is NOT minor.  The upgraded, higher rated power capacitors (larger units in the image) installed in the built-in subwoofer amps ensure the amp will not "die" or "hum before dying" as an original unit will do as the factory-supplied capacitors are beyond their service life on all these unts.  (This is why you see services offering to repair them on eBay listings.)  If you buy older Polk powered speakers you WILL have to pay to have these parts replaced or ultimately replace the amp outright when it is damaged beyond repair by old capacitors, so better to buy these that have been serviced.  

 ADDITIONAL UPGRADES:

Original tri-laminate tweeters have been upgraded with new Peerless silk domed tweeters (the same tweeter offered as an upgrade by Polk and similar to those found in its current high-end offerings). These are a FAR better unit than the original tweeters and further benefit from fitment of the felt diffraction pads and audiophile crossover capacitors.  These upgraded crossover capacitors are much better than the small, cheap components used by Polk.  The cabinet damping has been upgraded to Acousta-Stuf damping vs the cheap poly sheets used by Polk (see image).  These sound FAR better and FAR more detailed than as built by Polk and cannot be beat by anything close to the price offered.  Price essentially covers the cost of the installed upgrades, consider the speakers free.  Candidly, I have too much equipment and have run out of local family members and close friends for whom I build or modify speaker projects or I would not be selling them.
