McIntosh's last true analog preamp, with no digital display or remote control. I've used it in my bedroom system and it sounds absolutely phenomenal. I decided to downgrade the preamp since I don't listen to it very often.
I've rated the preamp 7/10 for age. Cosmetically it's clean with a perfect glass. Operationally, the processor loop indicator light does not light up (or could be that the processor button is faulty - I never used it) and the "Record" knob can be a little finicky in selection. The headphone amp sounds amazing but the headphone jack can probably use a cleaning as it's a bit scratchy. All other knobs/functions are clear and clear (volume and equalizer are dead quiet.) The phono section is solid in this preamp as well.
Overall, if you've done your research you know it's a great preamp. It cost $3,500 in the 90's.
Reasonable offers will be considered. I pay PayPal fees, buyer pays flat rate $85 UPS/FEDEX insured shipping.
Item will be shipped in a brand new McIntosh C45 box I just got from McIntosh for a preamp I decided to keep. The size is the same and I'll make sure it's packed correctly. As I mentioned before, this preamp does not come with a remote control. I do not have the owner's manual.
