You folks are a tough crowd. This is a smoking deal!
Blue Circle BC 707 phone preamp, custom modded by Gilbert Yeung.
I had this unit modded by Mr. Yeung to support both MC and MM inputs concurrently; the mods cost $800. He added more capacitance to support the MM inputs, as well as an external switch to switch between MM and MC outputs. This allowed me to use both of my turntables (Technics 1200MKII and Music Hall MMF 9.1), and switch between them during a listening session. The unit also has balanced outputs (for the MC).
The photos below show the modifications, comparing a stock BC 707 (from 6moons review https://6moons.com/audioreviews/bluecircle3/phono.html) to my modded one. Added elements are indicated. In some of the photos there is a dark spot just right of center--that is problem in my camera, not in a blemish on the unit.
As you may know, Mr. Yeung recently decided to stop manufacturing under the Blue Circle label. See https://www.bluecircle.com/. That means this and all of the other excellent BC products are no longer available directly from BC. I'm only selling mine because I'm moving to a smaller house and significantly downsizing my system.
I'm the third owner of this unit. Comes with the original box with original foam inserts to protect it during shipping.
The unit is in excellent condition, though as you know with BC products, they are industrial looking on the outside. The beauty is in the music.
Reviews are uniformly excellent.

Used in a non-smoking home.
Questions for the seller |

Does BC still handle upkeep and repair issues? Is power cord included? Don't know what would need "upkeeping" since there's no parts that regularly were out. You can contact Amherst Audio to see if they have resources to repair if necessary. http://www.amherstaudio.com/?page_id=33. |
