Questions for the seller
Or 220v I see on ps...
Yes, the power supply is 220V. Best Regards!
This is 240v right? You'd need a step-down transformer to use in U.S.?
It works with the power supply which is 220V. Best Regards!
Will this unit work with just a power cable from power supply to US outlet or do you need a Step Down Transformer?
I am sorry it is taking me so long to reply. This unit operates with a 220v Power Supply as mentioned before, it does not specify if there is a need for a Step Down Transformer. I have been trying to find a more detailed answer for your question from the manufacturer and dealers but have not heard back yet. Regards! Maria.
Can't you just test it and see if it works? Looks like it takes a Euro IEC. This is the type of thing that should be clearly stated in the ad.
Ok, in case you decide to purchase it would it have to be shipped do Europe or are you in the US? Best Regards!
I am in the U.S. - I want it to work with US voltage 110v.
The item works well. Here are some comments from an Allnic dealer that might answer some of your questions: "I have not had a Euro version Allnic H3000 so I cannot say if the IEC is different than the USA model. I don’t know if it’s possible, but maybe a USA version power supply could be ordered from Allnic so the H3000 would become USA model. Choosing between the two power supplies would allow use in Europe or USA. If you are in the USA and wish to use this 220v Unit, you need an electrician to run a 220v Volt line. 220 volt is in every household, that's what runs clothing dryers and electric ovens." I assume that in order to run it on a 110v you might have to get a converter, but am not sure about it. As you know It was used with the 220v power supply.
Okay that's what I figured, thanks. This thread is here but you might want to specify in the ad that this will not work with US voltage.
I am not sure if I understood your message. Anyway, this Unit was used exactly with US voltage (220v) as indicated on the listing and as shown on the photos.
US voltage is 110-120. This will not work with US wall outlet without a transformer unless as your tech specified you had an electrician rig up a special outlet like the ones used for clothes dryer which is quite a lot of effort and expense for single component. My point is that generally this fact is specified in the ad and not just left to be deduced from a photo of the power supply. Many people don’t want to use high end audio components with power transformers for good reason.
Thank you for your feedback, I appreciate it. I will update my listing. I wish you well and take care! Maria.
Take it to Alpha Tech in Brentwood and have them verify the power supply is actually a 220v unit and not a mis-labeled power supply case.
Thank you, I appreciate it.
