For sale are my much beloved Herron Audio M1A solid state monoblock amps. These were used as part of a full Herron Audio system — VTSP-3A and VTPH-2A. In December 2017 I sent the monos to Keith Herron to upgrade them with advancements inside the newer M2 monos, including, in Herron’s words, “a new FET front end and a number of parts changes in the Zobel networks, servo and input stage.” If you read the description of the M2 monos on the Herron website, the FET front end is a big part of the new model.
The M1A monos are single ended, non-inverting and 150 watts @ 8 ohms and 275 watts @ 4 ohms.
These are the best solid state amplifiers I have ever owned. The are gippy and detailed, yet also full and warm. Needless to say, they mated perfectly with my Herron tubed pre and phono. These units are have the very cool grey color faceplate.
Note that I have misplaced one of the stock power cords. I will include the one I have.
