This is a PurePower 2000 power conditioner.  This is a great unit, and as I understand the operation, it converts the incoming AC to DC (into a large bank of batteries), and outputs clean power after conversion back to AC.  I believe a magazine in Canada did a review a number of years ago where they measured this unit to actually supply greater peak current than a connection straight to the wall.

I urge interested parties to check out the PurePower website, which has a ton of great information on their power conditioners.

I bought this about five years ago, and used it up until about 6 months ago.  I am only selling as I have some very large tubed Class A amps that draw almost 2KW of constant power themselves (not peak).  I believe that this unit is designed for 2KW constant load, but couldn’t handle my entire system in the new configuration.  It was too much for this setup (and most every other active unit that is available).  I had no issues during previous use.  It has some faint component feet marks and fine scratches on the top.  The front has a few scratches that I tried to catch in a photo.  Lastly, the back corner is dinged a bit as shown in the photo.  I never really noticed any of these flaws until pulling it out for photos under the lights.

**I have just installed a brand new set of batteries in the unit.  The expected lifespan in this unit is 5-7 years.**

The new batteries in the unit show approximately 70% charge when actually at 100%.  When I bought the previous set of replacement batteries from PP, they informed me that these new batteries provide better performance, but the display will not read 100% due to the updated battery units registering differently (the previous set of new batteries I received from PP when I had originally replaced them had shown 67% charged when full).  I can provide detail and documentation on the glitch from PP for interested buyers if they wish.

The unit comes with all original packaging, rack mount ears and handles (don’t look like they were ever installed) and stock power cord.  I couldn’t find the paper manual.  I believe that I have priced in the condition and age.
