Description Up for sale is a used Classé Audio model CP-47.5 solid state stereo preamplifier. Included is the original remote control and original owners manual. The optional phono preamp module has not been installed in this unit.
This model has had all of the unbalanced RCA jacks replaced with new jacks. The original jacks were unfortunately of a poor design and did not hold up well to the test of time. When I first heard the unit, I was so impressed that I wanted to refurbish this back into better than new condition, so I had the unbalanced inputs/outputs replaced. The original jacks were made of a pressed metal that essentially pulled off the mount over enough cable changes.
I would normally list this item an 8/10, but as the unbalanced inputs have been replaced - I chose to mark this as a 7/10.
