This integrated has a built in DAC with Digital coax, and optical connections.

The other 2 Bel Canto integrateds...the C5i, and the C7R are both WIMPY by comparison with only 60/120 watts into 8/4 ohms. This Bel Canto S300i has 2 ½ times the output powerInto both impedances. YES…..that makes a BIG difference !

The DAC, makes this a VERY versatile unit. I was using it to run my Audioengine bluetooth w optical out, streaming SPOTIFY...going into the Bel Canto, to take advantage of the superior DAC in the Bel Canto.

This little integrated is a true POWERHOUSE of an amp with 150 w at 8 ohms, and 300 w at

4 ohms. I was running my Gallo Ref 3.1’s speakers with dual voice coil enabled (about 4 ohm speaker that way), and this little integrated ran those speakers, like a monster amp, as it should with 300 watts on tap !! The Gallos are NOT known for their efficiency, and this little

Integrated ran them with AUTHORITY…..but totally clean, uncompressed, and sounded amazing...never losing it’s composure, in any way. I never felt I got even close to running out of power…:-)...Try THAT with a lower powered amp...like the ones mentioned below, for example.

The sound character is slightly warm, palpable, and organic. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the most warm, and 5 neutral, this integrated would be about 6….which I love.
