LESSLOSS Echo's End R2R DAC

This unique and distinctive DAC is the LESSLOSS Original
Echo’s End DAC, which debuted in the summer of 2016. I received the unit (the
one shown in the photos) from LESSLOSS in July 2016. From the moment I
connected it in my system, I was wowed. It sounds so clear and vivid, rendering
instruments with a realistic, organically liquid, natural tone. I had never
heard a DAC sound that good in my system and have not heard a better one since.
It is designed by a company that caters to discerning listeners who appreciate
the most natural and accurate rendition of instruments and voices. This DAC
delivers that in spades, thanks to its well-thought out use of high quality
components, including a 2-channel discrete precision resistor R2R ladder configuration
that smoothly delivers true-to-life sound without any chips, op amps,
capacitors, tubes or transformers in the signal path to muck up the sound or introduce distortion. Quality R2R ladder DACs, which this is, are known for their superb, clean, smooth, detailed, lifelike sound and are typically more expensive than the more common DACs that use chips to convert the sound from digital to analogue. 

So, if it sounds so great, why am I selling? My system
changed to include a unique digital pipe organ module which outputs only in I2S
digital format, a format the Echo’s End does not receive and process. So, the
Echo’s End has been sitting on a shelf in my air-conditioned, nonsmoking,
dust-clean living room, used only on rare occasions in conjunction with my
CD-player. I simply don't use it enough and need to let it go. 

The unit is in pristine and perfect working condition. In terms of use, it is
practically brand new. Aesthetically, it is in excellent like-new condition. The low-noise circuitry is designed for simplicity
and durability and should not require service. There are no switches or moving parts to go bad but if any reason service is ever needed, the unit is small with very accessible, serviceable parts and comes with a sturdy custom flight case that can be boxed and inexpensively sent to LESSLOSS, which is very responsive to customer needs. In your home or studio, the unit is designed so it can stay on all the time, if desired. It uses very little electricity and generates hardly any heat. That means it can always be ready to instantly deliver the best sound possible without warm up time, whenever the listener is ready to listen. Its beautiful, compact wooden enclosure fits
nicely into any living or workplace environment. (Note: the unit I’m selling has no glossy
LESSLOSS plastic label. LESSLOSS honored my request not to put it on, because I
felt it detracted from the beautiful wooden case.)

LESSLOSS webpage. The unit has several digital format input options: USB, S/PDIF,
and AES/EBU, and stereo (2-channel) analogue outputs, both RCA unbalanced and
XLR balanced. This unit is 120V and accepts standard USA audio power cables.
(LESSLOSS does not provide a power cable with the unit, so the user can use his or her own or purchase from LESSLOSS or any other audio vendor.) The unit comes with a sturdy water-tight padded flight case, in which
it will be shipped within an outer box.
