GAIN STAGE: The "gain stage" is the circuitry that works with the tubes to amplify your music. Bob Backert improves the gain stage to increase the accuracy of dynamics, expand the sound stage, and noticeably improve the resolution of this wonderful preamplifier.
GENTLE ON YOUR TUBES: Mr. Backert's work leaves the preamp running the tubes in an exceptionally gentle manner, for extended tube life.
OUTPUT CAPACITORS: The output capacitors have been upgraded to the excellent REL Audio Cap PPT Theta capacitors. Warm, smooth, musical, and very dynamic with excellent punchy bass.
VOLUME CONTROL: The volume control is upgraded to a 47-position Goldpoint stepped attenuator for truly world-class resolution.
TUBES: Mullard NOS tubes made in Great Britain.
The exterior is flawless.
The Classic does not have a remote control.
