This listing is for a pair of Meridian DSP5500 Digital
Loudspeakers, cables, and remote control

The DSP line combines acoustic drive units with
quad-amplification so each has its own dedicated amplifier fed from a DSP
system that sets optimal parameters for ideal sound within a space including
digital cross-overs. You have control over bass, treble tilt, listening axis,
volume, time-compensated balance and absolute phase.

PERFORMANCE:

The built in DSP unit uses a memory buffer for ultra-low
jitter from any input source.  All crossovers,
equalization and sound shaping are done with the on-board processor

Each driver is fed only its frequency range for optimal
crossover range.  Even the precision,
on-board amplifiers are powered by high-current, toroidal transformers using a
custom high-speed power supply

The cabinets are built with wood and steel for ultra-rigidity
and minimal distortion.  The drivers are
isolated in separate enclosures to maintain timing and minimize
distortion.  The tuned cabinet allows for
bass extension down to 30 hz while delivering beautiful mid-range transparency
