The WTP-1 is a top-loading transport consisting of a CD cover of a thick aluminum ring and CD platter weight. The front panel contains a display with four buttons. The rear panel provides two SPDIF outputs (one optical and one BNC) and an AES. The CD cover is attached to a rotating arm. The CD is secured to the independently-suspended Sony transport with a magnetic weight which must be used for playback. Control consists of the basic functions: play/pause, stop, skip back, skip forward, and are repeated on the included remote.
