One of the pinnacles of what "healthy audio gear" meant... when knighthood was in flower. Built like a tank, with pride, and intelligence. A beautiful sounding integrated amplifier.
The KA-9100 was an export-only item but it was the heir to the Model 500 & 600 just the same. This unit was purchased new by a Navy Seaman in Japan. The KA-9150 is the same amplifier. The KA-9100 has less romantic curves than the KA - 9150 but it’s still like driving a Jaguar 420 - with overdrive
The KA-9100 is a two channel Integrated Amplifier, rated conservatively at 90 WPC RMS at 1 KHZ into 8 ohms. The KA-9100 has provisions for two Turntables (Moving Magnet); two tape decks, an AM/FM Tuner and Auxiliary. It offers Bass and Treble Controls, Tone Defeat and one of the first ALPS stepped attenuators. The front panel layout is both logical and beautiful, with excellent attention to detail. The panel itself is made from solid, brushed aluminum- a true rarity among the popular Japanese manufacturers of today. Two VU meters are well lit, offering 3 watt and 100 watt user adjustable selection. The gorgeous, exposed heat sinks that flank each side are massive, and add greatly to this units overall fit and finish. And unlike certain Rotel products, these heat sinks are not just for show, but rather aid greatly (and noticeably) with the heat dissipation.
This unit is enclosed in a beautiful dark walnut wood case and has been recently serviced at TC Tubes in St. Paul, MN. This amp looks great and sounds fantastic!! We have the original box and original owner’s manual. The matching KT- 7500 Tuner is also available.
On the back panel there are RCA type input/output jacks, and the KA-9100 can be used in amp only mode, or as a preamp to drive another, possibly more powerful amplifier. The speaker terminals are, in my opinion superior to the spring loaded terminals that marred otherwise excellent amps of the day from other companies like Sansui and Pioneer.
All units are sold with a 90 warranty day period in which you can exchange them for full the purchase price. Please refer to our Return Policy for full details.

May I ask what service was done to the amplifier Hi Greg
When we purchased the amp, we also purchased a tuner, cassette deck, and reel to reel. All the equipment was in excellent condition, except the reel to reel. We deep cleaned the amp with a 3 step process using Caig DeoxIT products. The only service required was a couple of relays needed to be taken apart and cleaned. The amp is in excellent condition with the original boxes, and owner's manual . I personally polished the wood case and cleaned the face. That's it. All of our gear has a 90 day warranty, so you can buy with confidence that the amp will be as described. The matching tuner is in great condition also. The cassette deck was in such good condition I decided to keep it to add to my vintage system. Feel free to phone me if you like.
Thanks for looking and have a great day.
Nate
