I’ve owned several DVD players and the ARCAM DV79 has been my favorite. It noy only plays DVD’s it also was a wonderful CD player, with the quality sound ARCAM is renown for. The remote and deck work perfectly. The only glitch is that once-in-a while the CD tray does not open when called for on the remote. I give it a gentle push and all is good. This happens usually when there is no disk inserted. Never figured out "why" from the day I bought this deck eight years ago on Audiogon. Maybe you will solve it.
