Purity Audio Transformer and Tube Buffer Unit for Sale.

Sorry to list it under Tube Preamplifier, but there was no specific category I could find that matches what this Audio Piece does exactly—read more about what it does below.

This cost $1,395.00 when I purchased it.  I am the Original Owner.  It has maybe 25-30 hours of time on it.  

What does it do and where does it go?  This goes between a Source and the Preamplifier.  It optimizes the impedance between the Source Component and the Preamplifier and also because of the Tube Stage, adds a sprinkle of Tube Magic to the Sound.  It has both XLR and RCA type inputs and outputs.  The most common placement would be between a CD Player or DAC and the Preamplifier since while Digital has come a long way, it still doesn’t quite compete with an expensive analog vinyl set up in most cases (though an $18-k Lampizator I heard once in someone’s System was pretty decent).  

The casing is made of acrylic.  The pictures show a very small amount of glue holding the Unit together in front that overflowed past the joint edges, so this is not a cosmetic scratch or defect.  I didn’t want to take any chances with an Exacto/X-Acto knife to remove it in case I accidentally scratched it before putting it on the market for sale.  It came to me that way originally, in case that was a question.  I am also selling it for considerably less than I paid and it is otherwise in flawless shape.  The wholesale price of the transformers inside cost more than my asking price.

Reason for selling?  I am embarking on a Master's Degree and am liquidating most of my stereo gear to assist with funding it.  

I have not sold in some time, but in the past, I have sold 39 Items on Audiogon and had a perfect (100%) satisfaction Record.  I am an M.D. by background and most people know we take very good care of our possessions, especially audio equipment.
