Tube input, and mosfet output. 200 wpc hybrid amp formerly Stereophile class A amp in stock form. This particular amp has been upgraded and updated by Bill Thalmann, Conrad Johnson’s first employee, and one who originally worked on the design of this amp. The upgrade was performed in 2012 at a cost of $1,500. The result is a balanced and blueprinted amp, where Bill completely disassembled the amp, replaced stock parts with the best of what’s currently available, redressed and upgraded internal wiring, and also more than doubled the capacitance to improve power and bass control. Bill built this amp to perform at a higher level than the outstanding stock amp. Very heavy, so pick up in north eastern PA is highly recommended. I will ship if the buyer is not local.
