This dac is built and tuned by a little company specializing in Audio Note Kits, where only the best of components have been used:
-Line stages uses 5687 tubes, Audio Note Silver Foil Capacitors and AN UK IHiB TR028/01-A output transformers.
-Signature Digital PCB with AD1865 N-K chip and Audio Note Silver Foil Capacitors connecting digitalboard to analog (was found to sound better than using I/V transformers). -AN Tantalum resistors. -Black Gates are used for most electrolytic capacitors (20 in total) including Black Gate WKZ.
-Double Chokes.
-Audio Note Copper Foil used on M2 power supply pcb. -Silver internal wiring. -Silver Connectors. -Inputs: coax and USB. (A connector for XLR is available but not connected as replaced by USB) -Tubes: Bendix 5852, Telefunken ECL82, Jan Philips 5687.
It is set up for 230/240V(can be changed).

| Can you tell me the company that does this mod? What changes need to be made to make 120V? Could the same mod company do that work?

Doug A company named Upgradeaudio made/modded this dac, but they have since closed their business. Luckily changing to 120V is a simple job only requiring a different cabling setup on the Mains transformer which can be fixed before shipment. |
| Also... what are the coupling caps? Hello Doug.
The output coupling capacitors are Audio Note Silver Foil rated at 0.1uF if i remember correctly (hard to read underneath the circuit board).
And all the non electrolytic capacitors used in the power supply are Audio Note Copper Foil.
