Orsonic DS-200G clamp - NIB - Free Shipping

Renowned record clamp from Japan, hard to find these days. This one is brand new and unopened. I bought two NOS more than a decade ago. I've only used one (featured in the pics) and it's time to let the other one go.

Works by a spring-loaded, retractable brass collet that attaches to the spindle and clamps the LP to the platter, reducing vibration. Just hold in one hand, press the top button with your thumb, place the clamp on the spindle, and release. The collet grabs the spindle and gently presses the LP onto the platter.

The sound is open and dynamic without the over-damping or muddying effects that weights can sometimes impart. Especially good for idler wheel turntables (like my Nantais Lenco, pictured), where you don't want lot of mass on the bearing.
