Peachtree iDecco (Original) Hybrid Integrated Amp with Built in DAC & Analog Inputs

Original Peachtree iDecco DAC/hybrid integrated amp with 30-pin iPod dock and adapters. This has a really clean sound that’s still easy to hear and engaging. The interval DAC is great with lots of digital connections and an analog input plus a very nice remote.


Please note: I listed this as solid state because there is no option for hybrid; but it does have a tube, a stereo triode, that beautifully shapes the sound without too much warmth. You can roll tubes for sure.


I got this for a bedroom system then moved a few years ago. I am the first and only owner so far. It sounds great with lossless files through the DAC and the stereo tube line stage to the class A/B amp (not the Class D now used by Peschtree) into small speakers.


The result has a very pure midrange and ample bass with a clear but not excessive amount of treble. It likes good power cables, so I’ll include one of those, a Nordost El Dorado (2.0m) power cable from when I had it set up with Paradigm Atoms near a wall, and an iPod Touch with ALAC files on it.


The result was luscious but lucid and I would listen to jazz while reading in bed and really enjoy it. The remote was an unexpected bonus. It uses a servo to rotate the analog volume control for better sound.
