This amp is in perfect working order and was recently serviced by Bob Hovland himself. It has no nicks or scratches and is in excellent overall condition.
The Sapphire is a very sweet sounding unit with plenty of punch. Extremely overbuilt for it's 40 watt output. It feels and sounds much more powerful than that. It uses a push-pull circuit with a unique 'nested' feedback topology. This amp currently has Electro Harmonix EL34's and Sylvania 12ax7 input tubes.
