The Krell S-1500 is a highly regarded dynamic sounding 7 channel amplifier. It delivers 150 watts to all channels when driving 8 ohm speakers or 300 watts into 4 ohm loads. The Krell S-1500 delivers the kind of audiophile-grade sound reproduction that makes it a welcome addition to any high quality home theater or critical 2-channel listening.

This unit was purchased in 2015 from an authorized Krell dealership. It has a newer manufacturing date of 2013 compared to others for sale. It's been in limited use, well maintained, never overdriven, in excellent condition, and sounds great. There are some nicks/scratches or blemishes, but most are not noticed from a few feet away. Includes power cord, trigger cable, shorting pins, manual and Krell packaging.

Based on a rock solid, linear power supply design, the S-1500 is virtually impervious to speaker demand or AC line fluctuations. A 1,500 VA toroidal transformer and robust, 80,000-microfarad array of quick-charging filter capacitors offer enormous energy storage, available in an instant. This supply is designed for massive current delivery while maintaining an ultra-low noise profile. Surface mount technology is utilized in the amplifier channels to achieve the high circuit density required for wide bandwidth performance. Eight highspeed power devices per channel deliver 150 W into 8 Ohms and 300 W into 4 Ohms. The amplifier is stable at any load impedance. Krell Current Mode, fully balanced topologies, are utilized for all amplifier channels for the lowest noise and greatest detail retrieval. Class A circuitry is utilized in the input, pre -driver, and driver stages to provide the most accurate signal path. All channels support balanced and single-ended inputs.
