Mark Levinson No 39

This unit is not just a CD player, the Mark Levinson No. 39 provides three capabilities in one. It is a CD Transport, DAC, and Digital Preamp in one simple, yet beautiful piece of equipment that is a great representation of the Madrigal era of Mark Levinson. Solidly built and beautiful to look at.  Great as part of a minimalist high-end system.

Although it was purchased in 2002, it is has been well cared for and is in pristine condition and never had any issues.  Overall it has very low hours of use, but particularly in the last 8 years, as I have mostly used it as a DAC with a streamer connected through its coax inputs to play content from a Roon server, thus the mechanical portion of the unit has been used very little and functions perfectly.  The door moves smoothly, quietly and correctly.

This unit is also able to play HDCD. The HDCD indicator lights up when playing a CD from the tray and when playing HDCD content burned to my Roon server.  

This unit was purchased directly from a local dealer who had it as a demo in his listening room.  It is in very good condition, but does have a few small scratches that were there when purchased from the dealer. (Visible in the photos)  We have the original box and packaging, manual and heavy duty remote control.
