Music Vault Ultra Series 9 Diamond Upgraded USB - SPDIF- AES/EBU outputs.
Roon Lifetime membership included.
Please note the picture of the rear of the Music Vault is the new Ultra Series 9 Diamond.
Music Vaults were one of the first Music Servers commercially available.
Music Vaults have always included an optical drive to allow you to copy your CD collection to the internal Hard Drive, which is now a 2 TB Solid State Drive and for an extra $250 it can be upgraded to a 4 TB SSD.
The Operating system and control software are installed on a separate 500 GB solid state drive.
This provides lightning fast response and separates your Music Collection from the control software which protects your Music Collection.
First the Music Vault Ultra Series 9 is built upon the Intel 9th generation I5 processor.
The Ultra which is Ethernet based. For those of you with Ethernet based DACs that don’t require upgraded USB or SPDIF or AES/EBU digital outputs.
The Ultra II includes your choice of Upgraded Pink Faun USB output or the Pink Faun SPDIF/AES EBU output. ($5000 retail Covid 19 pricing $4000)
The Ultra Diamond has both Pink Faun USB and the Pink Faun SPDIF/AES EBU output.
($5500 retail Covid 19 pricing $4500)
The Music Vaults utilize a passive heat sink on the I5 processor, completely dissipating its heat without generating any mechanical noise. As a matter of fact the only time the Music Vault Ultra Series 9 makes any noise at all is when you rip one of your CDs in the optical drive. It is the only moving part in the Music Vault.
The Music Vault Power Supply is also fan-less and generates no mechanical noise nor does it generate any electrical noise.
The Music Vault will rip your CDs to the SSD bit perfectly and does so without using error correction. Instead the software we use reads the CD until the software is 100% sure it knows exactly what each bit is. Once that bit perfect data is stored on the SSD and goes through our buffering you have a digital output that is bit perfect and virtually jitter free. What that means to you is CDs that may have sounded marginal in the past on your CD player will now sound noticeably better and more like real music being played in front of you.
