Here is a very fine example
of the mid-70’s Marantz 3600 Preamp built here in the USA. This unit is super
clean and has an absolutely mint faceplate, it’s very hard to find one in this
good of condition. It has recently been serviced by a veteran Marantz tech. All
switches and controls cleaned with DeoxIT D5, the rotary switch ball bearing
detents cleaned and greased, and control shafts lubricated with a high grade synthetic
oil. All electrolytic caps have been replaced. The power supply caps with
Nichicon VXM’s, a workhorse of the industry. All signal caps replaced with Elna
SilMic II’s, these paper/silk combination caps boast a warm, smooth, tube like
sound.

I would rate this a 9 except for some small marks on the top of the cabinet where another piece of equipment sat at one time and some small pepper spots on the volume control knob.

Unit has been bench tested
and ready for use by its new owner.
