For sale is a McIntosh MC 240 Tube Power Amplifier. This amp is semi-rebuilt by the original owner. This amp has been tested and is fully functional. The MC240 has on one chassis two 40 watt power amplifiers.
In addition to use as a stereo amplifier, the flexibility of the MC240 permits it to be used as a monophonic amplifier that delivers 80 watts, or as two separate 40 watt amplifiers with each channel amplifying completely separate programs, or as two amplifiers for use with an electronic crossover network.
Bellow are the modifications and Condition:
- FULLY FUNTIONAL - Output tubes are bad and need to be changed - All Small signal tubes & Rectifier Tubes test Good - Main Can Caps Changed - 4 x Matched JJ's - Power Supply input cap Changed - Power Cord has been changed to a 3 prong - Missing Stereo/Mono Switch Cover - Some pitting on body - Some scratches and rusting on parts
