Dynaudio 1.3 MKII Monitors

FOR SALE: Gorgeous pair of Dynaudio Contour 1.3 Mk II speakers in choice cherry wood. I purchased these new from a high-end boutique in STL. No dings, dents or scratchrs. Stands are available local only. In my opinion, these are some of the best sounding and best looking monitors ever produced. They have a detailed, neutral sound and produced a wide detailed sound stage. These babies have been babied and well cared for.

The 2000 Stereophile review said: “. . . Dynaudio's 1.3 Mk.II: yes, it was neutrally balanced; yes, it had generous low frequencies; yes, a pair of them threw an enormous, detailed, stable soundstage; but it's the sheer refinement of its overall presentation that remains in my memory. This little speaker is a thoroughbred!”

The 2001 Onhifi review said: “The Dynaudio Contour 1.3 Mk IIs are exquisitely constructed. Their fit'n'finish is second to none. Their custom-built drivers cannot be bettered in terms of construction or function. Their crossovers are stuffed with high quality components. Then there's the sound -- for certain sized rooms, it would be difficult to do better than the Contour 1.3s. In my room, they have proved to be first among a long list of contenders for best sound -- they couple with its dimensions to produce sounds as real as any I've ever heard, one reason I keep returning to the 1.3s even more than to my putative references.”

The 2002 Home Theater Hifi review said: “Not only did the 1.3 Mk II live up to my expectations of a speaker at this pricepoint and a Dynaudio product, but I was impressed beyond my anticipation. With the 1.3 MkII, they really put out their best stuff at higher volumes and need an amp that can handle low impedances. They are extremely open, detailed, sound astonishingly neutral, have the most expansive soundstage I have ever heard, and will not require a subwoofer for most musical material.”
