Placement note: BDR cones perform best when their flat side rests against the component's chassis and the rounded tip points down into the shelf.
Mk3 has a slightly warmer tonal balance, with a little extra oomph on the bottom end, and is designed for solid-state gear.
Mk4 is slightly cooler than its sibling, with greater top octave extension and detail, and less emphasis on the lower frequencies. It sounds great with tube equipment.
