Reference-standard CD quality
As a simple CD player, the Arcam CDS27 is one of the best in its class. At its heart is a Burr Brown PCM1794 DAC (Digital to Analogue Convertor). Used in conjunction with a linear phase Bessel output filter and high precision re-clocking system, the level of precision and realism is first-rate. Separate power supplies for digital, analogue and transport sections ensures each part works free from the potential interference from the other, for lower levels of distortion and enhanced resolution.

Super Audio CD (SACD) playback
In addition to making a great CD player, the Arcam CDS27 also replays SACDs. These Direct Stream Digital (DSD) discs offer a far higher resolution than ordinary CDs and are similar in resolution to 24-bit music files. The result is a more natural sound, revealing subtle detail and texture in the music.

Stream via UPnP and CIFS
More than just a CD player, the Arcam CDS27 also includes a built-in streamer. Link to your system by wired Ethernet or by built-in Wi-Fi and compatible with UPnP and CIFS audio streaming standards, the CDS27 is the ideal device for listening to music stored on your NAS drive, laptop, PC or Mac. With the ability to handle a wide range of file formats and HD audio right up to 192 kHz/24 bit quality, the CDS27 is a flexible bit of hi-fi.

Improved MusicLife iOS control app
If you've got an Apple iPod Touch, iPhone or iPad, then you can take full control of streaming music to your Arcam device with the new MusicLife control app. Working with the wireless system, it lets you stream music directly from your device as well as servers or computers connected via UPnP. The latest version brings Internet Radio, Podcasts plus streaming from TIDAL and Qobuz. Advanced features, such as library searching, sorting, shuffle and repeat playback are also catered for.

Plenty of connection options
In addition to regular RCA analogue, coaxial and optical digital outputs the CDS27 is also equipped with balanced audio outputs. Connect to a compatible amplifier and you'll have a truly professional connection with ultra-low signal loss - even over longer runs.
