Amperex NOS "Medical Grade" 12AU7 / ECC82 Platinum Grade Quad from Upscale Audio

Purchased as a spare from Upscale Audio, but never used. Platinum Grade matched quad. These are brand new, now sold out, and killer! I plugged them in to make sure. they work and they are perfect. Description from Upscale Audio's website:

These were made for a company called Electronics For Medicine in New York back in the 1960’s. They needed to be the best, so they used Amperex Holland 12AU7’s that were made for the most critical applications. They are really special. The internal balance is so tight, the transconductance so healthy, the noise so low....These were in a master box that was sitting for fifty years. The box had gotten damp at one point and some of them lost some of their logos. We will default by sending out the best testing first.

I have a set in my PrimaLuna Dialogue Premium pre and they are awesome. As neutral (to me) as a Tele with lovely spaciousness up top. I would keep these but I need to raise some money and the set I have have plenty of years left.

No original box. Some of the chalk has rubbed off on two of the tubes.
