Aesthetix Calypso

I purchased  this Aesthetix Calypso (serial number 3852, manufactured November 2006) from a fellow A’Gon member in 2014 and had  since only used it moderately as I have other systems that I also listen to.  The tube complement consists of two Tung Sol 12AX7s in the V1 position, and two JAN Phillips 6922s in the V2 position.  Please note that Aesthetix attaches the top of the unit with Velcro to allow easy access to the tubes should you want to experiment with other tube brands.

I rated this pre-amp 7/10 due to age and as it has a few minor scratches on the top cover; they are very hard to see in the picture.  The faceplate and the back plate are very clean as I could not find any scratches or dings.  It comes with the original box, manual and power cord.

This preamp is very comprehensive in that it allows for 5 inputs in either a balanced or single ended configuration and 2 outputs in either a balanced or single ended configuration.  Given the sound quality, build and features, it would be tough to beat this preamp at this price point.

I will ship via Fedex Ground Insured to the lower 48 for a flat fee of $75.  PayPal fee of 2.9% to be covered by the buyer.   Additionally, I will take personal check from an A’Gon member in good standing (transaction of unit would not occur until my bank confirms funds have cleared).  Local pick up is also welcome.
