A one owner amp that has been lovingly maintained and responsibly used. Not a trophy piece of gear purchased for investment and subsequent sale. This is an established audiophile iconic piece that continues to produce exceptional music orders of magnitude above it's price point. I won't bore you with hyperbole, look it up, check it out ask any questions. Amp resided in a non-smoking, pet free home. The minor marks on binding post and small scratches are from military moves. This item also received the full Revision A upgrade from Steve McCormack and the performance uptick is very real. Cardas binding posts, power cable and a flat out proven performer in audiophilia . This amp will not disappoint. Buyer pays shipping and paypal fees.
Questions for the seller |

Hello
unit is fully operational with no known issues. Also I see the fuse holder has some marks on it has the main fuse been replaced recently. Is the box still in good shape for shipping or would double boxing be a option. Thank you for your time. The unit is fully operational and there are no known issues. The fuses have been replaced a few months ago. I had the unit power supply checked and updated by Smc last year ($399). Of course I will double box the unit, for me that goes without saying. This is a classic amp in great shape. I also have some spare fuses I will enclose and an upgraded power cable available at my asking price. Thanks for looking. |
How old is the unit and date for revA service, please? How is rev A compared to Deluxe model if you know? I would appreciate your comments. Thx. Byeong Thanks for your interest. I purchased the unit brand new in 1998 in SC. The Revision A was done June 1999 by SMc audio at an additional cost of $1200. The upgrade transformed a very good amp into a class A sounding unit. The biggest difference I could discern between this one and the deluxe is the additional power available in the deluxe. The musicality and ability to get the midrange right still set this amp apart from competitors. This unit also provides soundstaging that allows one to experience the listening experience more fully. Thanks for the inquiry. |
