AUDIO RESEARCH LS27 TUBED PREAMPLIFIER / EXCELLENT!!!

This Listing is for a BEAUTIFUL Audio Research LS27 Tubed Linestage Preamplifier. I purchased this from the previous owner, hence the 8/10 according to the a'gon rating scale. It is in perfect working order. The original owner bought it from an authorized dealer. This preamp is super clean internally and presents as new; Tubes have about 300 hours on them (which is way under the lifespan of 6H30's; These tubes, Sovtek Russian 6H30's, can go to 10,000 hours);  but hour meter was not reset at the time of replacement indicating the total hours. The last two LS 27 preamps that sold on Audiogon went for $3350 and $3050 this past May and June. The only recent sale on eBay was for $4785.

The remote control is metal (nice and heavy). The LS27 is full of convenient features including Balanced inputs and outputs. All 8 inputs can be used via balanced or single ended connectors and each input can be set for low, medium, or high output.  

This preamplifier is visually stunning and, performance wise, near the very top. You have to step up to the much more expensive Audio Research REF5 SE or REF10 to make subtle improvements. There are numerous positive reviews on the LS27 including a Reviewer's Choice Award from Soundstage HI FI !
