I am the original owner of this amp, purchased in 1999. It has always been in a clean, smoke-free environment. It is in cosmetically perfect condition with no scratches, nicks or dents. I have rated its condition as 8 because the right power meter needle occasionally sticks at 0 but has always resumed normal operation. Otherwise it performs flawlessly.
Please note that the MC-162 does not have AutoFormer transformers. It has one set of speaker taps and is rated to deliver 100w @ 8 ohms and 160w @ 4 ohms. The original manual and power cord are included. All ten front panel lamps were replaced by an authorized McIntosh dealer last month at a cost of $270.00.
The amp will ship in its original box, which measures 26.75" x 25" x 11.75" and weighs 63 lbs. Buyer pays insured shipping by UPS or FedEx.

| Does the needle stick when first turned in then acts normally throughout listening operation or does it get stuck every so often? Typically it sticks at power-up but begins to work normally after a while. This happens very infrequently and seems random. |
