I'm the original owner of the Heresys, and they're just over one year old.  They are in like-new condition cosmetically and sonically.  Features and benefits follow:

* Very Efficient: 99db SPL 1M-1Watt:  They will play quite loud without distortion with low power amplifiers (75 Watts or less is all you need).  You can even use 1-3 watt tube amps with plenty of output.
* Fantastic Dynamics:  Realistic sonic punch for movies and music.
* Excellent sound quality at low volume:  Perfect for apartments and smaller rooms when you don't want to disturb others. Also effective in larger rooms at high volume.
* Compact for a floor standing speaker:  23.81" H x 15.5" W x 13.25" D (44 lbs each).  Very unobtrusive if used as intended against the wall.
* Acoustic suspension (sealed) bass cabinet:  Excellent bass quality-very tight and well defined.  In fact, this is why I chose it over the current Heresy IV which uses a ported design.  You may not need a subwoofer for these speakers for music.
