Harbeth Monitor 40.1

     I bought these iconic speakers from a dealer who got them from the original owner. They are in the Cherry finish. They are in really beautiful condition! Likewise they perform superbly. I am older and do not have perfect vision, but I cannot detect any damage to the cabinets.

By now many music lovers are quite familiar with these speakers. They appeal to the music lover and the "audiophile"! Many veteran Harbeth listeners consider the 40.1 series as the perfect balance between warmth and "transparency". I do recommend a hearty amplifier to bring out all of the performance. The original documents and boxes are included.

I would prefer that these speakers be a LOCAL PICK UP for the best safety. I live 150 miles north of Minneapolis, Mn. I have been fully vaccinated. I do not have them hooked up and will not be able to play them. They can be visually inspected. Take a good look at my very long and perfect Feedback record on AG. I also have nearly 2000 perfect Feedback record on Ebay, same User name. If you pick them up in person, I will give you $300.00 off of the FIRM selling price of $6900.00. It will be refunded when picked up.

I am not in a hurry to sell them. If I get no interest in a Local Pickup, I may consider shipping.   

The light colored speaker stands are solid Pine, very well built. They have the open shelf concept on top to allow the "lossy" cabinets to perform properly. They are in excellent condition. However they are unfinished. They can stay that way or be stained to personal preference.

The pictures of the dark stands are from the very high end Core Audio Design company in California. They are made of solid African Wenge wood. They are very heavy and also hand made. I was told that they retailed for $2500.00! One needs the top frame joints re glued. They are otherwise excellent. A cabinet maker is going to properly repair it.

IMPORTANT: I do not own either of these stands, they belong to a friend! I DO NOT know if he will part with either pair! I will know more in the near future! Both are custom made to fit the 40.1's. If available for sale, the Pine pair will be $400.00, the dark Wenge wood pair would be $800.00. Shipping would be included. Or IF they are available, I will accept Cash or a Postal Money Order if you get the speakers in person
