Thiel Audio SS-1 USS SmartSub subwoofer

Rarely sold and the most easily shipped (and handled!) Thiel SmartSub @ about 55 pounds (next model up is 108). Digs deeper (and more accurately) than you would think for the size. Remarkable underhung long throw driver and proprietary boundary and thermal compensating circuitry. Originally a Thiel SS-1 whose failed amp plate was dealer replaced with the more recent, updated (and more reliable) USS plate which essentially makes it an updated USS. Fully functional. I’m picky, and would rate it very good to excellent with a few small fully touched up nicks. I have replaced the stock gold bolts on the grill with black oxide ones, but the original gold will be included as well as original spike feet as shown in photos.

In addition, I have three different Thiel PX matched low pass crossovers available. One of your choice will be included. A PX-05 five channel setup for Powerplane/Powerpoints. Another PX05 5 channel setup for SCS4’s. And a two channel PX02 setup for Powerpoints/Planes. If you’ve read this far, you are likely familiar with Thiel and know that these can be customized to match other Thiel mains for nominal cost thru Rob Gillum @ Coherent Source Service. These crossovers are of course not required, and sub may be used with any conventional RCA or XLR input.

I have the original packaging/foam and it will be packaged with care.
