Horn Shoppe Horn

Hand built, single driver loudspeakers that are rear loaded, folded, corner horns. Designed to be placed in the corners of the room and capable of  high  SPL using Single Ended Triode (or other flea power) amplifiers. Corner placement is not required but suggested for maximum extension and output. The Horn uses a single Fostex FE126e 4.5" full range driver ("eNabled" cone treatment) and the pair are capable of 98-100db (peaks) in an average size room with a 3 watt ( or greater) amplifier. No restrictions on power. 8 0hm load. Very efficient, ~94 dB.  (I drive them with an 11 watt tube amp, and I don't turn the volume past 9 o'clock!) I've owned them about 13 years. 
These are no longer produced by Ed Schilling in S Carolina; the latest models sold for $925. Size 30"tall, 11.5"deep, 6" wide.  The finish is Oak veneer.  Driver covers included.  There are two small chips/scratches (shown) that are not very visible, and could be touched up with the same lacquer that Ed  used.  
Single driver means no crossover network and purity of sound.  The rear wave from the driver goes through a labyrinth of passages, and exits the bottom rear, where the bass frequencies are amplified by the corners of the room. The frequency response is down to about 50 Hz when properly placed.  The low mass of the Fostex drivers results in a fast speaker that handles transients and percussion very well.   The Horn Shoppe still has a forum online.  There are also multiple positive reviews online; see the Stereophile, 6 Moons, Positive-Feedback reviews.  
I'd prefer a face to face sale in Florida for now; can deliver in South FL up to Tampa/Orlando, through December. I could entertain shipping later if not sold in FL.  I have Wharfdale boxes that will work well for shipping.  I can also sell them locally in Las Vegas after mid-January.
