Bose 161 - Excellent

I used these as surround speakers in a small system and then as the front pair on my desk. They worked really well and sounded good in both applications. If you didn't know it was from Bose, you might not expect much from this elegant but unassuming little speaker. But each speaker in the 161 system packs several patented Bose technologies into its slender cabinet to ensure spacious, ear-pleasing results. The Articulated Array speaker design houses two angled, full-range 2-1/2" drivers engineered to generate more air movement from a small enclosure than conventional drivers. And Bose's Stereo Everywhere speaker performance delivers great stereo sound throughout the room, not just in a small "sweet spot" like standard speakers.

Bose's 161 system performs as a great set of stereo speakers in smaller rooms — or use the speakers as surrounds in a complete Bose home theater system. 

I bought these new and they’ve been meticulously cared for, but have since upgraded my desktop speakers to powered monitors. These will ship in the original packaging with the owner’s manual.
