This is the original DAC040 - The one that started it all. Best Of 2009 Award from Dick Olsher, Praised by Terry London of Home Theater Review In fact, this very unit is the one that spent 6 years in Terry’s system as his reference DAC. (All tubes have since been replaced)
Flawless condition. One of the best NOS DACs on the market. And you don’t have to fuss with the batteries that are no longer available for the BD version.
This one comes with the best available rectifier tube for this DAC - NOS Mullard EZ81/6CA4. Also comes equipped with Sylvania 5814A gold pin tubes. I will also include a pair of Mullard CV4003 box plates for a little variety.
